INKA SHAMANIC HEALING HOUSE

Healing Ceremonies with Ancient Medicinal Plants

Investigation and Shamanism – Ayahuasca and Shamanism

It is a phenomenon of mystical origin, which goes back to the prehistory of Andean people. Shamans are spiritual guides, channels of divine energy that belong to the mystery of the universe (powers), they heal the sick and can communicate with the other side. Their activity is giving mysticism to the world; in general terms, their job is to restore health, cleanse, repair, purify, improve human’s relationships and give conscious meaning to reality. Each Shaman has different manifestations that distinguishes him objectively from the people. We are the best Association of Shamans in Peru.

We have the special rods as the chonta, chiquir huandure, black hualtaco, jasper garlic, made of wood, which are an essential part of the equipment. The rods used by the Shamans on their work or offerings and rituals are a tool of defense against negative energies or influences such as bad winds or spells. The Shaman Masters usually work on an altar of rituals on the floor, or a table where they put their rods following a certain order; their secret is a major rod, the Shaman’s favorite, and other tools such as rattles and the magic arcane.
According to the tradition, the Shaman would ingest hallucinogenic drinks/brews and after would use extremely sharp swords that formed part of the ancient tradition of the officiating priest. The Shaman, just as he has a preferred type of stick, he also has a preferred sword, from which he never separates himself. Our Society of Shamans keeps in theory and practice all the ancient knowledge inherited from the Incas and before.

With their ceremonial weapons the Shamans defend themselves when they are attacked by negative energies, they call them “bad enemies or black magic sorcerers”. Many times at work, in full healing ceremony with master plants, they are attacked and have to fight to protect their patients from bad forces, it is a power fight or “magic combat.” In the past some Shamans even lost their lives protecting their patients; that’s why the Shaman uses all his secrets and devices for protection. The Shaman has a rod from which he never separates, it is his main protection, the “God” or “Saint.”

Secrets of the Shamans

The Shaman uses the “puzanga” to attract luck, known as “follow” or “follow me” and other rods on the table; he uses his prayer songs or icaros in his ceremonies. At their tables the Master Healers put stones of many qualities, each stone has different supernatural and magical powers. The essential difference of the Shaman with other Andean priests, healers or magicians is that they use for their ceremonies a grid of altered states of consciousness and subconsciousness categorized as trance or mysterious journeys.

It is possible to enter at will, according to the Shamans, in order to heal all the diseases anywhere on the whole body, but first they must have a series of preparation procedures and consistent diets to enter the ceremonies; the Master protects the ceremonial place with certain fumes and drinks different plants of defense to protect the place from bad energies and evil spirits, so he can conduct the ritual with his patients. That is why it is said that people should not do these rituals if they do not feel secure, if it is not a true Shaman who will treat them; many so-called guides are posing as Shamans, so always protect your physical, psychological and spiritual integrity, look for an authentic Shaman before doing any ritual. You will find real Masters Shamans in places like mystical associations, native organizations or communities of Shamans. Our Association of Shamans or Society of Shamans is entirely certified by the Peruvian Department of Health, and all our ceremonies are conducted with personnel trained on physical and mental health.
